10 Great Places To Grab A Drink Around The World

USA Today enlisted the help of Men’s Journal to come up with this list of 10 great places around the world go bar-hopping. Not surprisingly, Dublin makes the list with it’s 1000+ bars, as does Portland, Oregon, for its large number of breweries — at last count 28 within the city limits, the most of any city in the U.S. (It’s also the only state other than New Jersey where you’re not allowed to pump your own gas. Coincidence?)

There are a couple of interesting suggestions here. Though New York shouldn’t surprise anyone, they suggest heading over the TheExpeditioner.com’s neck of the woods, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where a whole craft industry of artisan drink-making has emerged amongst the confines of numerous old-timey bars and bartenders donning suspenders. They also mention New Orleans — again not a surprise — but suggest heading away form touristy Bourbon Street and and to Frenchmen Street, “where you’ll find a slightly more civilized crowd and the city’s most authentic jazz scene.”
