Scandinavia

Stockholm, Sweden

In late June, 2008, I traveled to Scandinavia. My first stop was in Stockholm, Sweden, during the longest day of the year (the Midsummer holiday). In this video I explore this active, cosmopolitan capital of Scandinavia and head out under the midnight sun to check out its nightlife.

Tallinn, Estonia

Come along as I travel to Tallinn, Estonia, where I visit Old Town, the historic neighborhood of Tallinn that still looks and feels much like it did during the medieval period.

Gothenburg, Sweden

In Gothenburg, Sweden’s second largest city, I cruise around the city’s scenic canals and bay by boat, visit Slottskogen — the giant nature park and zoo — and visit one of Gothenburg’s premier skybars, Heaven 23.

Copenhagen, Denmark

My last stop during my trip to Scandinavia was Copenhagen, Denmark, where I explored the many neighborhoods that make up the city, including hip Norrebro, the historic Inner City, and bohemian Christiania.

Follow along as I visit stylish Stockholm, take a voyage across the Baltic Sea to Tallinn, Estonia, to visit the medieval Old Town, then I head back to Sweden to Gothenburg, Sweden’s second largest city, then finish up in bustling Copenhagen, Denmark.

Argentina/Chile

Argentina: Part One

During my trip to South America in November, 2007, my first stop was in Argentina. In this video I visit the hip, young neighborhood of Soho Palermo, explore amazing Recolata Cemetary (where Eva Peron is buried), and stroll along Florida Avenue, the hub of Buenos Aires.

Argentina: Part Two

In part two I check out the famed Buenos Aires nightlife, visit the giant San Telmo Fair where tens of thousands of people converge every Sunday, and travel out of the city and through the Pampas to the small gaucho town of San Antonio de Areco.

Santiago, Chile

After visiting Argentina I fly over the Andes to Santiago, Chile, where I visit the neighborhood where the famous poet Pablo Neruda lived — bohemian Barrio Bellavista — explore the sights in downtown Santiago, and travel into the Maipo Valley, one of the world’s premier wine regions, to visit the vineyard Concha y Toro.
